Note(s): Unlike previous SD (Super Deformed) Gundam anime of the past which were comedies, this is a serious televison show that turns small Gundams into sentient robot characters. SD in this series stands for "Superior Defender".

This series debuted in the United States but only half (26) of the episodes were broadcast.
